Triumph Over The Bond of Fear with God’s Amazing Word

Like a light bulb, her eyes lit up, and an idea was born. After endless prayer, a young lady thought, let me start a blog. Of course, this idea was not born out of nowhere. Years ago, when she first learned of Christ and The Most High God, she fell in love with being a woman of God. After some time, she started to develop a great passion for cooking from scratch and gardening, and began learning how to take care of the household.

One day, after much prayer, she got the calling to create a blog to share all she was learning with her community. So, with the fire of passion and confidence, she paid for a domain and created a website. Two years passed, and she never published the site or posted any blogs.

Who was that girl?

If you haven’t figured it out, I am that young lady. Fear crept in even though I started this with so much joy and passion. What in the world do I have to fear? You might ask. Well, I don’t really know. All I do know is the fear was real. But it didn’t stop with the blog; I started to fear everything, from doing day-to-day tasks to death. Believe it or not, there was a time when every day I went to sleep, fearing that I would not wake up.

So, what do you think I did? Well, nothing at first, but after shaking off some of the fear and anxiety that tried to cripple me, I prayed. God, in all of his glory, answered my prayers and reminded me of the parable of my talents. More than death, I had to fear passing on and going before the Father empty-handed because I allowed my fears to stop me from doing his works and using every gift, thought, and idea that he had given me.

Next, I searched his word for encouragement to fight against my fears, and here are a few verses I found.

Percepts to Reference

Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.
And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.
Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.

Philippians 4 : 6-8

O death, where is thy sting? O grave, where is thy victory?
The sting of death is sin, and the strength of sin is the law.
But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.
Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye steadfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labor is not in vain in the Lord.

1 Corinthians 15 : 55-57

Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me hath everlasting life.
I am that bread of life.
This is the bread which cometh down from heaven that a man may eat thereof, and not die.
I am the living bread which came down from heaven: if any man eat of this bread, he shall live for ever: and the bread that I will give is my flesh, which I will give for the life of the world.

John 6:47-48, 50-51
Kings James Version Bible

Now I am here, and I finally created my first blog, but it wasn’t by my strength but through the strength of Christ that I took this leap. I now fear going before The Most High empty-handed more than I fear death itself.
